कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी हिंदू धर्म का एक प्रमुख पर्व है, जो भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के जन्म के उपलक्ष्य में मनाया जाता है।कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी का पर्व हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार भाद्रपद मास की अष्टमी तिथि को मनाया जाता है। यह आमतौर पर अगस्त या सितंबर के महीने में आता है।यह पर्व रात के समय मनाया जाता है क्योंकि मान्यता है कि श्रीकृष्ण का जन्म रात के अर्धरात्रि के समय हुआ था। इसे देशभर में हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया जाता है, खासकर मथुरा, वृंदावन, और द्वारका में।

इस दिन मथुरा, वृंदावन और द्वारका में विशेष उत्सव मनाए जाते हैं। मंदिरों में श्रीकृष्ण की लीलाओं का आयोजन किया जाता है और 'दही हांडी' जैसे आयोजन होते हैं जिसमें लोग मटकी फोड़ते हैं, जो उनके बाल रूप की माखन चोरी की लीला का प्रतीक है

धार्मिक महत्व:

श्रीकृष्ण ने गीता का उपदेश दिया, जो आज भी विश्वभर में एक महत्वपूर्ण धार्मिक ग्रंथ माना जाता है। गीता में दिए गए उनके उपदेश जीवन के हर क्षेत्र में मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करते हैं।श्रीकृष्ण को भगवद गीता के प्रवक्ता के रूप में जाना जाता है। उन्होंने अर्जुन को कुरुक्षेत्र युद्ध में धर्म का पालन करने की शिक्षा दी। गीता में दी गई उनकी शिक्षाएं आज भी प्रासंगिक हैं और धर्म, कर्म और योग के मार्गदर्शन के लिए मानी जाती हैं।

कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी पर व्रत और उपवास रखने से व्यक्ति को शुद्धता और मानसिक शांति की प्राप्ति होती है।

कृष्ण की बाल लीलाएं:

कृष्ण के बाल रूप की लीलाएं, जैसे माखन चुराना, गोपियों के साथ रासलीला, और कंस का वध, आज भी भक्तों के लिए प्रेरणा का स्रोत हैं। उनका जीवन प्रेम, भक्ति, और धर्म की जीत का प्रतीक है।

उपवास और पूजा:

जन्माष्टमी के दिन लोग व्रत रखते हैं, श्रीकृष्ण की पूजा करते हैं, और रात 12 बजे, जब कृष्ण का जन्म हुआ था, विशेष आरती और भजन कीर्तन करते हैं। मथुरा और वृंदावन में विशेष झांकियों और रासलीलाओं का आयोजन होता है।भक्तजन रातभर जागकर श्रीकृष्ण के जन्म का उत्सव मनाते हैं।भगवान कृष्ण की जीवन की विभिन्न घटनाओं को झांकियों के माध्यम से प्रदर्शित किया जाता है।

दही-हांडी:

महाराष्ट्र और अन्य स्थानों पर दही-हांडी का आयोजन होता है, जो कृष्ण की बाल लीला का प्रतीक है, जब उन्होंने माखन चुराया था। इस आयोजन में युवाओं की टोलियां मानव पिरामिड बनाकर ऊंचाई पर लटकी मटकी फोड़ती हैं।

पौराणिक कथा:

भगवान श्रीकृष्ण का जन्म कंस के अत्याचारों से पृथ्वी को मुक्त करने के लिए हुआ था। कंस ने अपनी बहन देवकी और उनके पति वसुदेव को कारागार में बंद कर रखा था, क्योंकि उसे यह भविष्यवाणी हुई थी कि देवकी का आठवां पुत्र उसका वध करेगा। श्रीकृष्ण ने जन्म के बाद ही अपने माता-पिता को छुड़ाया और कंस का अंत किया।

जन्माष्टमी का प्रभाव:

Dahi-Handi is organized in Maharashtra and other places, which symbolizes Krishna's childhood pastime, when he stole butter. In this event, groups of youngsters form human pyramids and break pots hanging at heights.

Mythology:

Lord Krishna was born to free the earth from the atrocities of Kansa. Kansa imprisoned his sister Devaki and her husband Vasudev because he had a prophecy that Devaki's eighth son would kill him. Krishna rescued his parents soon after his birth and put an end to Kansa.

Effect of Janmashtami:

The festival of Janmashtami teaches devotees that Dharma always wins, and Adharma is destroyed. The life journey of Shri Krishna inspires us to follow the path of truth, love, and duty. Janmashtami is not only the celebration of Shri Krishna's birth, but it is also a festival of purity of soul and devotion to God. On this day, people try to attain the grace of God through devotion, kirtan, and meditation.
